Ava competed at the 2018 Irish Setter Club of America National Specialty Agility Trial in Huron, Ohio and wowed the crowds with her fast weave poles and overall speed. She won both the Masters Standard and Masters Jumpers classes, earning a Double Q and then went on to win High in Trial at the Agility Trial.
Ava ran the Jumpers course in 5.95 yards per second and was, by far, the fastest Irish Setter competing at the National Specialty! I am so very proud of her!

Ava competed at the 2020 Masters Agility Championship at Westminster on February 8, 2020 in New York City, New York. Ava was the only Irish Setter running in agility. There were 2 preliminary rounds, a Standard course and a Jumpers course. Ava placed second in the Jumpers course. Then we were selected to run in the finals that evening, which was televised on national TV! Only 10 dogs from each jump height ran in the finals. Ava ran clean and ended up with third place!!
As an added bonus, we got to meet Dr. Pol and his wife Diane, and Ava got her picture taken with them. I have watched their television show, The Incredible Dr. Pol, since the beginning, so this was quite exciting for me.
